Power light does not turn on
There could be two possible reasons for this to happen.
Reason 1 – It is because the power cord is not properly plugged into the electrical outlet.
Solution – You should turn off the printer and check the connection between the printer’s power cord and the electrical outlet. Now, you should turn on the printer and check if it works.
Reason 2 – Another possible reason could be that the electrical outlet is controlled by an outside switch and that is off.
Solution – You should check if there is an outside switch present and if it is there, turn on the switch. You should also check if the outlet is working properly or not by plugging in another device into it.
Power light does turn on but does not print
There are many possible reasons for this to happen.
Reason 1 – It is because your computer does not have proper connection with your Epson printer.
Solution – You should read the instructional manual and try to perform the setup procedure again. You should be able to find this in the Setup sheet.
Reason 2 – Another reason could be related to the interface cable that may not be safely plugged in.
Solution – You should check both ends of the interface cable. Make sure to look at both ends between the printer and the computer.
Reason 3 – The next reason could be usage of wrong interface cable.
Solution – You should check the interface cable, if there is USB interface, you should use a different cable.
Reason 4 – It could be because of printer breakage.
Solution – To know if your printer has broken, you should print the nozzle pattern. This would enable you evaluate the situation. If this has happened, you should contact a technical expert.
Reason 5 – One more reason for communication failure is not setting up of application software properly.
Solution – This problem is easy to handle as you have to simply ensure that correct printer is selected in your application software.
Reason 6 – The last reason could be small memory of your computer system. It is possible that your document has huge volume of data and your computer system’s memory is not able to handle that.
Solution – To solve this, you have two options. Either you should try to reduce the image resolution of your document in the application software or you should install more memory in your computer.
